HRC Fertility, a leading fertility care provider, is collaborating with biotechnology innovator Gameto in a groundbreaking clinical trial. The trial will evaluate Fertilo, an investigational approach to in vitro maturation (IVM) that aims to alleviate the physical, emotional, and financial burden of traditional IVF and egg freezing. Fertilo matures eggs outside the body using lab ovarian support cells and will be compared to current IVM practices, focusing on egg quality and pregnancy rates. As part of the Fertilo process, participants will undergo an abbreviated ovarian stimulation cycle followed by egg retrieval, with immature eggs matured in the lab. The resulting embryos can be frozen on day five of development, with an embryo transfer to the patient scheduled within approximately two months. The trial aims to make IVF more accessible to those who may have been discouraged by the demands of traditional methods.
