Julianne Hough, a co-presenter on Dancing With the Stars, has documented her egg freezing process in an effort to raise awareness and support for women going through similar fertility treatment. Hough has undergone egg freezing treatment for the third time due to her diagnosis of endometriosis, a condition where tissue grows outside of the womb lining. She expressed her gratitude towards her medical team and emphasised the importance of transparency during such an emotionally, physically, and hormonally vulnerable experience. Hough shared her journey on Instagram, including a video showing the process, such as the injection to stimulate follicle production and a ‘trigger shot’ to release the eggs. She hopes that by sharing her experience, she can inspire and encourage others going through similar processes.
