A baby boy from Scotland is believed to be the only person in the world diagnosed with two rare and incurable conditions – Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CDLS). Joey Lister was born in Glasgow on 12th March and has spent his entire life so far in the hospital. His parents, Colin and Ashley, were informed about his conditions during the pregnancy. The couple had been trying to conceive for a long time, and the news was a significant blow. Currently, Joey is being cared for at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh. The couple now face the challenges of adapting their home to accommodate the medical equipment Joey will need when he can come home from hospital. Family and friends have rallied around them, setting up a GoFundMe page to help with the costs of adapting their home.
